The Coyotes' goaltending situation is a mess. Raanta was supposed to start Saturday in Boston but was a late scratch due to a lower-body injury suffered in warmups. Then Darcy Kuemper was supposed to return to the crease tonight but suffered an injury in the morning skate. But now, Raanta is ready to go again, so he’ll face the Habs in Montreal. In his first start vs. the Canadiens, Raanta allowed four goals on 36 shots in a 4-1 loss.

Raanta was a late scratch from Saturday’s scheduled start and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. The Coyotes are having a tough time keeping their goalies healthy. Just as Darcy Kuemper is nearing his return to the crease, an injury pops up for Raanta.

Raanta stopped all 30 shots that he faced in the Coyotes shutout win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. It was another terrific performance for Raanta, who has now gone 1-0-1 while stopping 72 of the last 74 shots (.973 SV%) that he has faced. In his first start vs. the Hurricanes, Raanta surrendered three goals on 28 shots in a 3-0 loss in mid-January.

Raanta will start Tuesday vs. the Oilers.

Raanta stopped 42 of 44 shots in Arizona's shootout loss to the Blackhawks on Friday. Even a terrific performance wasn't enough to snap Raanta's losing streak, which was extended to four games. He'll look to get back in the win column tonight vs. the Oilers. He is 5-4-1 with a 2.27 GAA and .930 SV% on home ice this year but was shelled for six goals one 18 shots in two periods in his first start vs. Edmonton.

Raanta allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Coyotes loss in Anaheim on Wednesday. Raanta has struggled mightily as of late, losing three in a row while allowing a combined 13 goals on 78 shots (.833 SV%). Tonight he'll try and get back on track against the team that he started his NHL career with. The Blackhawks went into their bye week as winners of five of their last six while scoring 4.17 goals per game.

Raanta was pulled after allowed six goals on 18 shots in the Coyotes loss in Edmonton on January 18th. It was a tough outing for Raanta, who has given up nine goals on the last 46 shots (.804 SV%) that he's faced. With Darcy Kuemper still out, Raanta will start their first game after the bye week. In his first start vs. the Ducks, Raanta stopped 26 of 28 shots in a 4-2 win (Jan.2).

Raanta has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury but will return to the crease today in Edmonton. In his last outing, Raanta stopped 25 of 30 shots before leaving their 3-0 loss in Carolina last Friday. He comes in at 4-5-2 with a 3.06 GAA and .915 SV% on the road while the Oilers have won four of their last five with 4.20 goals for per game.

Raanta stopped all 17 shots that he faced before getting hurt in the Coyotes win over the Flyers last Saturday. He missed the last two games but will start tonight in Carolina. In his last three outings, Raanta has stopped 81 of 84 shots (.964 SV%) and gone 3-0-0, but draws a tough assignment in Carolina. The Hurricanes have gone 5-3-0 while scoring 3.63 goals per game in their last eight home games.

Raanta was forced to leave Saturday's game vs. the Flyers with a lower-body injury and did not return. Raanta was perfect, stopping all 17 shots that he faced and Adin Hill brought it home, giving Raanta the win. With Darcy Kuemper already out, it's good to hear that Raanta's injury may be of the minor variety, but it will be Hill's net until he's back.

Raanta stopped 38 of 39 shots in the Coyotes win over the Blues on Tuesday. It was a fantastic outing and a much-needed win for Raanta, who snapped a three-game losing skid in the process. He is 3-4-0 with a 2.59 GAA, .920 SV% and one shutout on home-ice this year and is a great option against a Ducks team that has lost five of their seven (2-4-1) games while scoring just 2.29 goals per game.
