Raanta allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Sharks last Saturday. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for Raanta, who finished November at 3-2-1 wth a 2.46 GAA, .931 SV% and one shutout--a big improvement on his October numbers. He is still behind Darcy Kuemper on the depth chart but starts about every third game. Tonight he faces a Penguins team that has won four straight on home ice, scoring 4.5 goals per game while doing so.

The 30-year-old comes into Wednesday's game at 2-1-0 with a 2.00 GAA, .942 SV% and one shutout on home ice this season.

Due to Darcy Kuemper's stellar play, Raanta hasn't played a lot yet this year, but he has been impressive when he's been given the crease. Through three starts, he is 2-0-1 with a 2.62 GAA and .922 SV% but draws a tough assignment on Wednesday. The Habs come into the night tied for fourth in goal-scoring (3.64 GF/gm) through their first 11 games.

Raanta allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Coyotes win over the Senators last Saturday. With Darcy Kuemper playing extremely well, Raanta has been limited to just two starts in the first nine games. Raanta has played well too though, stopping 63 of the 68 shots (.926 SV%) that he has faced so far. On Friday, he takes on a Devils team that is 27th in the NHL in goal-scoring (2.38 GF/gm).
