Anisimov (upper-body) will not play on Thursday.

The Senators have placed Artem Anisimov on IR with a groin injury.

Anisimov simply can't stay healthy this season. He returned to the lineup on Tuesday, played in just two games but is back on IR. Overall, he has missed eight of the last 11 games and the latest injury will cost him at least three more games.

Anisimov (lower-body) will not play Monday but is expected to return on Tuesday.

Anisimov, who has missed the last five games, travelled to New York with the team but will not play until Tuesday vs. the Islanders. Anisimov has battled injuries all season so far, leading to just one goal in five games with his new team.

The Senators have placed Artem Anisimov (lower-body) on IR; expected to miss two weeks.

Anisimov previously missed three games with a lower-body injury but played Monday in Dallas and is now ruled out for at least two weeks. There is no word if it is a new injury or if Anisimov re-aggravated the same lower-body issue he was dealing with. J.C. Beaudin is expected to make his NHL debut in Anisimov's place on Wednesday.

Anisimov (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Monday.

The Senators have acquired Artem Anisimov from the Blackhawks for Zack Smith.

This trade was all about the Blackhawks clearing cap-space and Anisimov is a middle-6 upgrade over Smith. Anisimov is coming off of a 15-goal, 22-assist season in 2019 and had three straight 20-plus goal seasons but won’t have the same surrounding cast with the Senators.

The Blackhawks have activated Artem Anisimov (concussion) from IR.

Anisimov has missed the last four games with a concussion but is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Predators. Anisimov has registered just six goals on 61 shots (9.8 SH%) and nine assists (15 points) in 31 games this season.

Anisimov demoted to the third line early in training camp.

Anisimov has played almost exclusively with Patrick Kane during his first two years in Chicago, recording 42 goals and 45 assists (87 points) in 141 games. However, so far in training camp, Nick Schmaltz has been skating on the second line with Kane and Anisimov is centering the third line with Patrick Sharp and Ryan Hartman. This affects Anisimov’s upside drastically, but it’s still early in training camp and he could find himself back in his regular role before too long.
