Duhaime will join his third team in two seasons after Washington signed the bottom-six winger to a two-year deal worth $3.7 million ($1.85M AAV). The 27-year-old is in his fifth NHL season and had five goals and 13 points in 80 games between Minnesota and Colorado in 2023-24.
Duhaime will add a rugged edge to Colorado's bottom-six forward group as they shape their roster heading into the playoffs. In 62 games with Minnesota this season, Duhaime had eight points (4G / 4A), 66 penalty minutes, and 153 hits.

The 26-year-old right-winger was a fourth-round pick by Minnesota in 2016 (106th overall) and has 15 goals, 27 points and 164 PIMs across 131 career games played.
Duhaime missed the Wilds' previous game vs. Colorado due to illness but will draw back into the lineup Saturday as Minnesota takes on the Vegas Golden Knights. The 25-year-old has eight goals, one assist, 64 SOG, 40 PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 44 games before missing the last game.

Duhaime is set to miss at least Thursday and next Tuesday's game in LA after leaving the Wilds' game Wednesday due to an upper-body injury. He was only able to play 4:46 TOI prior to heading off with an injury. In 10 games so far this season, the 25-year-old has three points (2G/1A) and 18 SOG.
