The Flyers have acquired Brennan Menell from the Maple Leafs for future considerations.

Menell is an undrafted free agent from Woodbury, Minnesota and is set to make his debut for his hometown team vs. the Ducks. Menell who turned pro in 2017-18 after three years in the WHL, had 19 points (2G / 17A) in 23 AHL games this season before being called-up. He is expected to replace Nick Seeler on the third-pair.
Menell, 22, was an undrafted free agent, who is in his third year with Iowa. The 22-year-old defenseman has two goals and 17 assists to lead all Iowa D-men with 19 points in 23 games this season. He is now the seventh defenseman with Jared Spurgeon out and will likely make his NHL debut in the near future.
