Murray will remain in Buffalo after five successful seasons between Rochester (AHL) and the Sabres after signing a one-year, two-way contract extension on Monday. The 25-year-old only appeared in two games for Buffalo in 2023-24, but made an impact in Rochester with 17 goals and 32 points in 54 games played.

Murray was a healthy scratch for the Sabres' previous game but will draw back into the lineup Friday in Vegas as he takes the spot of the injured Jeff Skinner (upper body). The 25-year-old left-winger has only appeared in one game this for the Sabres after making his way back to the NHL for the first time since 2021-22.

Murray has been recalled from the Rochester Americans of the AHL as Jeff Skinner has been placed on the injured reserve with an upper-body injury. The 25-year-old Murray has seven points (2G / 5A) and a -7 plus/minus rating in 12 games with Rochester this season.

Murray appeared in only one game for the Sabres and played 10:47 TOI but will return to Rochester (AHL) as Alex Tuch (lower body) returns from the Injured Reserve. The 25-year-old defensemen returns to the AHL, where he had two goals, five assist, 11 PIMs and a -7 plus/minus in 12 games prior to his promotion.

Murray was the 99th overall pick of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft but has only played 22 games with the club, most recently in the 2021-22 season. He has scored seven points (2G / 5A) in 12 games with the Rochester Americans of the AHL this season. He will make his debut Monday vs. Arizona.

Murray had 23 goals, 26 assists, 46 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 71 games with Rochester (AHL) in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension worth $775,000 with Buffalo. The 24-year-old right-winger was drafted in the fourth-round of the 2016 NHL Draft (99th overall) and has two goals and six points across 21 career NHL games played.

Murray was summoned from the taxi squad and will replace Jack Quinn (lower-body) in the lineup on Saturday. Murray has two goals and four assists (six points) in 18 games this season.
