Little is on LTIR and has two years left with a $5.291M AAV cap hit. The move doesn't change anything for the Jets this season but provides them some cap flexibility for the next two seasons. For the Coyotes, it will help them stay cap compliant down the road.

Little has been dealing with concussion-like symptoms since taking a puck to the head last November and hasn't played since. Doctors have advised Little not to play in the 2021 season, so unfortunately this could be the end of the 32-year-old's career. Paul Stastny was acquired to serve as the Jets' No.2 centre, a role typically filled by Little.

Little has not played since taking a puck to the ear on November 5 and will miss the 2020 playoffs. With Little out, the Jets are left with Mark Scheifele, Cody Eakin, Adam Lowry and Nick Shore as their four centres.

Little was taken to hospital for stitches and evaluation after being hit in the head by a Nikolaj Ehlers shot on Tuesday. There is no word on how long Little will be sidelined but his move to IR means he'll miss at least two games. Joona Luoto was recalled from Manitoba (AHL) to take his spot on the roster.

Little had to receive 25-to-30 stitches to close a laceration and had to stay overnight for further evaluation. This latest injury effectively rules Little out for Friday's game and will likely sideline him for at last a few games.
