Fleury has been recalled from Coachella Valley (AHL).

Fleury played 12 games with Seattle last season but has spent the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign with the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL), tallying 26 points (5G / 21A) in 54 games. The 25-year-old Fleury was the third-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

The Kraken signed Cale Fleury to a two-year deal worth $1.6 million ($800K AAV).

Fleury only appeared in 12 NHL games last season and 21 over his first two seasons with the Kraken. Fleury, who has two points (1G / 1A) in 62 career NHL appearances, will likely serve as the Kraken's No.7 defenseman again in 2024.

Fleury has been a healthy scratch for the Kraken's previous six games but will draw back into the lineup as Justin Schultz deals with an undisclosed injury. The 24-year-old has yet to pick up a point this season, with five SOG and a -1 plus/minus through six games previously played.

Fleury will be back in the lineup to replace an injured Jamie Oleksiak who will be out for Friday's game. It will be Fleury's season debut with the Kraken after he place nine games with them last season. In 50 career games, Fleury has yet to pick up his first career assist, but has one goal and is a -7 plus/minus with 49 SOG.
