Edmonton added to its defensive depth on Friday as it signed 26-year-old defender Cam Dineen to a two-year, two-way contract extension. The AHL regular has made one NHL appearance in his career, appearing in 34 games with Arizona in 2021-22. In 2023-24, he had five goals and 25 points in 58 games with Bakersfield (AHL).

Edmonton has resigned Cam Dineen to a two-year, two-way contract extension.
The Oilers have acquired Cam Dineen and Nick Bjugstad from the Coyotes for Michael Kesselring and a 2023 3rd Round Pick.
Dineen has four goals, 31 assists, 14 PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 50 games played with the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL) and has been dealt alongside Nick Bjustad (50% salary retained) to Edmonton for a 2023 Third Round Pick and Michael Kesselring.
The Coyotes have signed Cam Dineen to a one-year, two-way contract extension.
Dineen (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.
Dineen suffered an undisclosed injury in Minnesota on Tuesday and will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game in Dallas. Dineen has picked up seven assists in 32 games this season but is pointless in his last eight games.
