Lindbom will start vs. Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Akira Schmid is coming off an impressive 24-save shutout in Vegas' most recent game, a 1-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings, but the team will turn to Lindbom to tend the twine on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 22-year-old Lindbom has seen limited action in his first NHL season, but has been solid when called upon, posting a 2.50 GAA and .906 SV% in two games (0-1-1). The Golden Knights enter the action on Thursday as -114 home favorites against a Lightning team whose five-game winning streak was snapped in their last game, a 3-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

The Golden Knights will turn Lindbom for his second career start on Friday when they face off against the Colorado Avalanche. The 22-year-old Lindbom was excellent in his only outing earlier this season, saving 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Golden Knights enter Friday's contest as +105 home underdogs against a Colorado Avalanche team outscoring their opposition 41-30 through 11 games this season (6-1-4).

Adin Hill suffered a lower-body injury and could not finish the Golden Knights' most recent game. Akira Schmid should see the majority of the action while Hill is sidelined, but the Golden Knights have recalled Lindbom from the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL). The 22-year-old Lindbom played his first professional season in North American in 2024-25, posting a 2.65 GAA and .912 SV% in 36 games (18-15-2) with Henderson.

The Golden Knights signed Carl Lindbom to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Lindbom was a seventh round pick in 2021 and signs his entry-level deal after going 25-11-0 with a 1.86 GAA and .929 SV% in 36 games with Djurgardens IF of Sweden's second division. He started for Sweden at the 2023 World Juniors, where he posted a 2.64 GAA and .914 SV%.
