The Hurricanes reassigned Legault to Chicago (AHL) on Sunday.
Legault will make his NHL debut in Vegas on Monday.
With Shayne Gostisbehere (lower body) out of the lineup on Monday against the Vegas Golden Knights, Legault will draw in for his NHL debut. The 22-year-old Legault played 63 games in his first professional season with the Chicago Wolves (AHL) in 2024-25, scoring 14 points (3G / 11A).

Carolina has signed Charles-Alexis Legault to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Legault was Carolina's 2023 fifth-round pick (139th overall) and has signed a three-year, entry-level contract on Monday. The 20-year-old is coming off a successful second season with Quinnipiac University (NCAA) and had nine goals, and 24 points in 39 games played.
