Chris Driedger News
Driedger (lower-body) will serve as Grubauer's backup on Saturday.

Driedger has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury but will dress Saturday vs. the Blue Jackets. The Kraken have a back-to-back next Tuesday/Wednesday, so look for Driedger to get one of those two games.

Driedger (undisclosed) is "closer to being day-to-day."

It remains to be seen if Driedger, who practiced with the team on Saturday, will be available to start Monday's game in Edmonton. Philipp Grubauer started last night, so expect Joey Daccord to get the nod if Driedger isn't ready to go.

The Kraken have signed Chris Driedger to a three-year, $10.5 million contract.

Driedger's selection in the Expansion Draft was the worst kept secret of the process. The 27-year-old has been outstanding over the last two seasons, leading the NHL in GAA (2.07) and SV% (.931) while going 21-8-4 in 34 starts. Driedger will get a shot to be a No.1 for the first time in his career with Vitek Vanecek serving as his backup.

Driedger is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Driedger was not on the ice for Thursday's morning skate and is expected to miss a few days with a minor lower-body injury. This isn't a huge deal for the Panthers, who have Sergei Bobrovsky playing well and Spencer Knight was terrific in his NHL debut on Tuesday.
