Folin (knee) has been cleared to play; will be a game-time decision on Friday.

Folin has missed the last five games with a knee injury but head coach Bruce Boudreau expects him to take warmups tonight and could return to the lineup. Olin has two assists, 16 PIMS and 18 shots in 19 games this season.

Folin will make his season debut on Saturday.

Folin was a healthy scratch in the Wild’s season opener but will draw in for Mike Reilly tonight. Folin was highly sought after coming-out of college a few years ago, but has yet to carve out a permeant role on the Wild blueline. Olin had four assists in 26 games a season ago.

The Wild have recalled Christian Folin from Iowa (AHL).

Folin, 24, has six points (1G / 5A) in 29 games with Minnesota. While in Iowa, he has registered four points (2G / 2A) in 12 games. He has been recalled because he is a right-handed shot, who will replace Jared Spurgeon tonight in Edmonton.

Folin (illness) expected to return to the Wild lineup on Saturday.

Folin has not played in the last five games due to an illness, but he should be back on Saturday. Jared Spurgeon and Jonas Brodin are both injured right now, so Folin will likely play bigger minutes than the 12:39 he has averaged in his first three games.

Folin (flu) is not on the ice for the Wild's morning skate.

Folin was expected to play on the Wild's third pair tonight with Keith Ballard, but both of them are absent from the morning skate because of the flu, so it looks like Mathew Dumba and Nate Prosser will slide into the lineup.

Folin will make his NHL debut on Thursday.

Folin signed a three-year deal with the Wild on April 1st and now, nine days later, he will make his NHL debut. He was the biggest fish in the college free-agent market, so the Wild are expecting big things out of him next season. He is ineligible to play in the playoffs, so this may be the only game he plays in this season. Jared Spurgeon will come out with Folin going in.

The Wild have signed Christian Folin to a two-year deal.

Folin was viewed as the best undrafted college play on the market. He's set to join the Wild on Tuesday night in Chicago, though he's not eligible for the playoffs this season since he was added after the March 5 trade deadline. Folin is a big boy at 6-foot-3, 210 lbs. that can play in both ends of the rink. Folin has a powerful right handed shot that would help bolster any powerplay unit. Folin is someone to potentially keep an eye on late in 2014-15 fantasy drafts.
