Folin was recalled from the AHL on Monday and will play in his sixth NHL game of the season tonight. The 28-year-old has four points (1G / 3A) in 15 AHL games and one assist in five NHL games this season. He’ll replace Victor Mete, who is out with the flu.
Folin was placed on waivers on Sunday and will go to Laval, where he has no points in seven games this season. He lost his place in Montreal when they acquired Marco Scandella from Buffalo.
