Schneider was pulled after he gave up five goals on 23 shots in the Devils 8-3 loss to the Penguins on Tuesday. A lot of team struggle to keep the puck out of their net vs. Pittsburgh, but Tuesday was a little ridiculous. Schneider should have an easier night tonight with the Jets in town, but he is not off to a great start---3.15 GAA and .901 SV% in nine games.

Schneider stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 5-1 win over the Panthers on Saturday. Schneider moved to 2-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .926 SV%. The most surprising thing is that the Devils have scored 11 goals in the first two games after averaging just 2.40 G/PG (27th in NHL) a season ago.
Schneider stopped 35 of 39 shots in the Devils 6-4 win over the Flyers on Thursday. Schneider was given a three-goal lead but it slipped away in the final five minutes of the second. Surprisingly, the Devils provided him a ton of goal support, something he didn't get a lot of last season and shouldn't get used to this year. He will face a Florida team who lost their opener to the Lightning in OT.
Martin Brodeur is gone and now it is Schneider's turn to make a mark in Devils history. He had a strong first season and followed it up with a nice preseason, going 2-1 with a 1.62 GAA and .932 SV%. He has one of the NHL's oldest teams playing in front of him and they aren't going to be the highest scoring team, but should be strong defensively which will help Schneider post sod numbers across the board. He is a low-end number-1 due to lack of talent up front.
Schneider made 21 save on 22 shots in a 1-0 loss to the Flames on Monday. The loss crushed the Devils' playoff chances, but it was no fault of Schneider's. Tonight, he will make his 43rd start of the season, which is by far his career-high. He has gone 16-15-11 with a 2.00 GAA and .919 SV%. Not a bad season for a guy who is playing on the NHL's 24th worst scoring team. Had he started more games, who knows, maybe they would be in the playoffs.

In his last three games (one relief) Schneider has managed to post a 1.10 GAA and .950 SV%, so the losses can't be pinned on him. The Devils chances are slim, but they are still alive in the playoff race and tonight's meeting vs. the Capitals could not have any more meaning.
Schneider stopped all 13 shots that he faced after replacing Martin Brodeur last night, however, Brodeur was still rewarded with the W. The Devils sit just three points out of the final Wild Card spot in the East, and Schneider will look to leave a tough March behind him as he starts April off with a great matchup vs. the Sabres.
Schneider stopped 21 of 23 shots in a win over the Maple Leafs on Sunday. It was the first time that Schneider has won back to back starts since January 21/24. Despite a solid 2.14 GAA (5th) and .914 SV% (t-23rd), Schneider sits at 14-14-9 on the season. He will face an Isles team who are surprisingly playing good hockey with a makeshift lineup.
