Gurianov and Bobby Brink will be healthy scratches on Monday, allowing Nicolas Deslauriers and Cam Atkinson to draw back into the lineup. Gurianov has been ineffective since joining the Flyers, being held without a point in four games.

Gurianov began the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admiral, scoring an impressive 30 points (12G / 18A) in 27 games. He was called up to the Predators mid-season and struggled to translate his skills to the NHL level, as has been the case throughout his career, scoring only two points (1G / 1A) in 14 games.

Luke Evangelista will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Gurianov to re-enter the lineup. Gurianov has been held off the scoresheet in nine straight games and is expected to play on the fourth line with Egor Afanasyev and Mark Jankowski.

Gurianov, the former 12th overall pick of the Dallas Stars in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, has failed to make the opening night roster for the Predators. Last season, Gurianov recorded only 17 points (7G / 10A) in 66 games between the Stars and Montreal Canadiens. He will likely see some NHL action this season but his effectiveness at the NHL level remains to be seen as his goal totals have decreased each year since the 20 he scored in his rookie campaign in 2019-20.

Gurianov has struggled to produce at his normal rate in 2022-23, with two goals, three assists, 41 SOG and a -4 plus/minus through 25 games played. He will take an indefinite leave of absence due to family reasons and will step away from the team for the time being.

Gurianov has missed the Stars' last six games due to an upper-body injury but will return to the lineup Wednesday vs. Chicago. The 25-year-old has struggled this season, putting up a goal and two assists along with a -1 plus/minus across 12 games played.

Gurianov will head to the press box for the third time this season on Friday as Dallas takes on San Jose. In 12 games, he has a goal and two assists while posting a -1 plus/minus and getting 20 SOG. All three of his points have come in the last four games.

Gurianov was a healthy scratch for the Stars' 4-2 loss to the Senators Monday. He has zero points with eight SOG while averaging 12:57 TOI through five games this season.

Gurianov will likely be the odd man out of the Stars' lineup Monday as he was left out of the line rushes for the morning skate. He has struggled mightily so far in 2022-23, recording zero points and eight SOG to go along with his -1 plus/minus rating through five games so far.

Gurianov will be replaced by Marian Studenic at 5v5 and Jacob Peterson will take his spot on PP2. Rick Bowness cited Gurianov's "lack of offense as an offensive player the last few games," as the reason for the scratch.
