Dorsett, 27, had four goals and four assists (eight points) with 128 penalty minutes in 51 games with the Rangers this past season. He is a go-hard player who gives it his all on every shift. Derek Dorsett, who has not played for the Rangers since coming over in a trade-deadline deal from Columbus with a broken clavicle, told the Daily News after Monday’s practice in Greenburgh that he could be available to dress sometime during the first round, which doesn’t begin until Thursday night in D.C.

Dorsett is not a good playoff fantasy option. However he would be a good piece for the Rangers to get back because he brings a physical brand of hockey that is perfect for playoff hockey.
