Dube has been ineffective while playing in all but one game for the Flames so far this season, scoring only seven points (3G / 4A) in 39 contests. His 0.18 point-per-game pace is the lowest of his six-year career and a significant decline over the 0.55 point-per-game pace he had last season.
Dube played 18:10 in the Heritage Classic on Sunday but suffered an undisclosed injury at some point that has kept him out of two consecutive practices and subsequently has been ruled out of the Flames' contest against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday. In nine games this season, Dube has three points (1G / 2A) and a -10 plus/minus rating.
Dube is the latest Flames player to be added to the COVID-19 protocol list as they are now left with just five active players.
Dube has missed the last two games but will be a game-time decision on Thursday. Dube would likely replace Dominik Simon or Joakim Nordstrom in the lineup if he plays.
Dube has been held off of the ice for the last couple of practices but head coach Geoff Ward says there's a chance he plays on Sunday. The Flames are going to see how he feels in the morning, so consider him a game-time decision for the 4 PM ET start.
Dube played in nine straight games but will be replaced by Zac Rinaldo with the Flames looking for a little toughness against the Oilers. Dube had on goal and two assists in his last nine games.
The Flames are resting players as they lead up to the playoffs, so Dube will likely be in the lineup on Wednesday. The former second-round pick has 15 goals and 24 assists (39 points) in 37 games with Stockton this season.
Dube had five points (1G / 4A) in 20 games with the Flames. He heads back to the AHL where he has recorded four assists in six games.
Dube was already ruled out of Wednesday’s game in Anaheim, so he was moved to IR to open up a roster spot to call-up Anthony Peluso.
Dube remains in concussion protocol and will not be available for Wednesday’s game in Anaheim. Austin Czarnik is expected to replace him in the Flames lineup.
Dube missed Tuesday’s practice and is unlikely to play on Wednesday because of a concussion. Dube could be ready by the weekend, when the Flames have a back-to-back in Los Angeles and San Jose.
