The Oilers signed Drake Caggiula to a two-year, two-way contract.

Caggiula failed to pick up a point across four games with Pittsburgh in 2022-23 but has signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Edmonton Oilers ahead of the 2023-24 season. The 29-year-old left-winger returns to the orginization that he broke into the NHL with in 2016-17 and spent three seasons at. Throughout his seven year career, he has 46 goals, 91 points and 136 PIMs across 282 NHL games played.

Drake Caggiula has been recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Caggiula will return to the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second time this season after failing to pick up a point in his previous three games with the big club. In Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL), he has four goals, 10 assists, and 14 PIMs in 23 games prior to his promotion Wednesday.

Caggiula was suspended for one game for his hit to the head on Tyler Ennis in Game 1.

Caggiula will be forced to miss Game 2 after being handed a one-game suspension on Sunday. Head coach Jeremy Colliton did not announce who will take hiss place in the lineup but Dylan Sikura seems like the logical choice.

Caggiula (concussion) will return to the Blackhawks lineup on Thursday.

Caggiula has been battling concussion symptoms for a long time and Thursday will be his first game since November 10th. Caggiula will draw in on the Blackhawks' top line with Jonathan Toews and Dominik Kubalik and comes in with three goals and one assist in 15 games this season.
