Fehr missed Tuesday’s game in Boston and will miss at least one more week with a “body injury.” Joel Eriksson Ek was recalled to replace Fehr on the fourth line.
Fehr has one assist in four games since joining the Sharks but will not play tonight vs. the Blackhawks. Fehr will be replaced by either Marcus Sorensen or Jannik Hansen in the lineup tonight.
Fehr has been a healthy scratch for the last three games and has only appeared in four games so far this season. The Maple Leafs used the roster spot to recall Kasperi Kapanen from the Marlies.
Fehr has been in and out of the lineup, swapping places with Dominic Moore. Fehr has not recorded a point in three games and has no fantasy value.
Fehr had six goals and five assists (11 points) in 52 games with the Penguins before being shipped to the Maple Leafs at the trade deadline. Tonight he will replace Nikita Soshnikov on the Maple Leafs’ fourth line in his debut.
Fehr is a veteran who brings forward depth to the Maple Leafs. The Penguins needed to move his cap-hit in order to add Mark Streit to their blueline and the Maple Leafs were in the position to add an asset to do so. Fehr has 11 points (6G / 5A) in 52 games this season.
Fehr has been sidelined since February 2nd with a lower-body injury, but could be back in the lineup tonight in Columbus. Fehr is listed as a game-time decision, so monitor his status when warmups get underway at 6:30 p.m ET.
