Hamilton had one goal in two games with the Flames last week, before being reassigned to Stockton. His recall could mean that someone was banged up in last night’s win in Montreal and Hamilton would appear in his third game tonight.

Hamilton, 24, has registered 16 goals and 19 assists (35 points) in 53 games with Stockton (AHL) this season. The Flames have a number of “bumps and bruises,” so Hamilton could make his Flames debut tonight vs. Winnipeg. Hamilton has one goal in 29 career NHL games.

The Avalanche have re-signed Freddie Hamilton to a one-year, two-way deal worth $688K.

Hamilton, 23, had one goal in 17 games with the Avalanche last season. He was the 129th overall pick in 2010 and spent the first two and a half years of his career with the San Jose Sharks. Hamilton was acquired from San Jose last March for Karl Stollery.

Hamilton was scoreless in four games for the Sharks in late October. He made his NHL debut on October 21 in Detroit. In 15 games with Worcester, Hamilton has six goals and four assists.
