After finishing fourth in Vezina voting in 2021-22, Andersen has continued his impressive play to start this season allowing only two goals on 55 shots to bring him to a .964 SV% and 1.00 GAA while winning his first two starts. The undefeated Hurricanes head to Edmonton to take on Connor McDavid and the 1-2-0 Edmonton Oilers who are looking to end a two-game losing streak.

Andersen will miss at least one week with an undisclosed injury.

Andersen suffered an injury vs. the Avalanche on Saturday and will be re-evaluated in one week. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour said they will "see where he's at" next week, in the meantime the Hurricanes will roll with Antti Raanta as their starter and Pyotr Kochetkov as his backup.
