Lindholm was acquired from the Ducks on Saturday night and is reportedly nearing an extension with his new team. He will not play Monday in Montreal but is expected to make his debut vs. the Lightning on Thursday.
Lindholm had previously missed time with a lower-body injury before fracturing his wrist in his return to the lineup last Saturday. With Lindholm out for at least six weeks, he could return for the final month of the season.
Ducks GM Bob Murray said that Lindholm has no timeline for a potential return but the team also didn't say that they were shutting him down. If Lindholm does not return, he'll finish the year with two goals and 20 assists (22 points) in a career-low 55 games.
Lindholm crashed heavily into the board in the second period and immediately went down the tunnel and did not return. Lindholm was a player that the Ducks could not afford to lose, already being down Cam Fowler and Erik Gudbranson.
Lindholm has missed the last two games but will play Friday barring a setback this afternoon. Lindholm will likely replace Josh Mahura and skate on the top-pair with Cam Fowler while Josh Manson remains sidelined.
Lindholm will miss his second straight game on Tuesday but the Ducks coaching staff is "encouraged" for his availability later on this homestand. Josh Mahura is expected to replace Brendan Guhle on the Ducks' top-pair, where Lindholm would be.
Lindholm is expected to draw back into the Ducks lineup after missing the last six games with a lower-body injury. Lindholm, who will skate with Brandon Montour on the Ducks’ top-pair, has 10 points (2G / 8A) in 21 games this season. Lindholm leads all Ducks skaters with 25:29 TOI/gm.
Lindholm has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury but took line rushes with Brandon Montour at the Ducks morning skate. There is no official word whether Lindholm will be back in the lineup or not, so consider him as a game-time decision for now.
Lindholm missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury and was moved to IR. This is another big loss for the Ducks’ blueline that is already without Cam Fowler. Lindholm’s move to IR means that he will miss at least the next two games. Brandon Montour stepped up huge in Lindholm’s absence on Sunday, collecting one goal and two assists in the overtime loss.
