Hampus Lindholm News
The Ducks have signed Hampus Lindholm to a six-year deal worth $31.5 million ($5.25M AAV).

Lindholm missed the first eight games of the season due to a contract holdout, but now that he is signed, you can probably expect him to be in the lineup over the weekend. Lindholm is one of the best young defensemen in the NHL and comes in having scored 10 goals and 18 assists (28 points) in 80 games last year.

Lindholm will be a healthy scratch on Saturday afternoon.

It seems as if the Ducks will rest some of their key defensemen down the stretch. First it was Cam Fowler, then James Wisniewski and this afternoon it will be Lindholm. He will be replaced by Wisniewski who sat on Thursday. Expect him to be back in the lineup on Sunday.

Lindholm (ankle) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Lindholm, who has been in the lineup for the last two games, apparently tweaked his ankle again and will be a game-time decision tonight. He was not on the ice for the morning skate, so his status is in question. This would be a tough loss for the Ducks, who just received the news that Sami Vatanen will miss 4-6 weeks.

Lindholm (lower-body) is expected to return to the lineup on Thursday.

Lindholm missed Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury, but he is expected to be back in the lineup tonight in Carolina. With Lindholm back, Eric Brewer is expected to take a seat in the press box. Lindholm has four assists in his last seven games.
