Bryzgalov has refused to report to Norfolk so the Ducks have placed him on unconditional waivers, which is the first step in terminating his contract.

Bryzgalov was brought in on a tryout when Darcy Kuemper was unsigned and Josh Harding was hurt. Now that Kuemper has signed, the Wild will enter the season with a goaltending tandem of Kuemper and Niklas Backstrom.
