Oettinger will start on Monday vs. Boston.

On the front end of a back-to-back, the Stars will turn to Oettinger for the fifth straight game. Oettinger saw his seven-game winning streak snap on Saturday when he allowed four goals on 24 shots (.833 SV%) in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers. Before that contest, Oettinger was playing remarkably, allowing two or fewer goals in four straight (4-0-0) while posting a tremendous .944 SV%. That said, the Stars will be without Miro Heiskanen (personal) on Monday and are +121 road underdogs against the Boston Bruins.

Oettinger will start on Thursday in Nashville.

Oettinger is riding a six-game winning streak and will return to the crease for the third straight game on Thursday. The 25-year-old Oettinger has been tremendous since the All-Star break, allowing two or fewer goals in three games (3-0-0), and posting an outstanding .951 SV%. If Oettinger continues to play at this elite level, the Stars will be a force to be reckoned with down the stretch and into the playoffs. Dallas is a -151 road favourite against a Nashville Predators club that defeated them 6-3 last month.

Oettinger will start on Tuesday vs. Carolina.

Oettinger will start for the sixth time in the last seven games and attempt to extend his winning streak to six. After struggling for much of the season, Oettinger has strung together two excellent performances, allowing only three goals and saving 65 of his last 68 shots faced (.956 SV%). The Stars are slight -115 home favourites on Tuesday against a Carolina Hurricanes team that has won five of their last six (5-1-0).

Oettinger has had a forgettable first half of the season, posting a 3.04 GAA and .900 SV% through 28 games (16-9-2) and will hope a mental reset from the All-Star break can help him return to elite form.

Oettinger will start Thursday vs. Anaheim.

Oettinger will start for the second straight game on Thursday in a favourable matchup against the low-scoring Anaheim Ducks, as the Stars are sizeable -326 home favourites. Oettinger has showcased a mixed bag of results all season, a trend that has continued since returning from a three-week absence due to a lower-body injury, allowing four or more goals in five games (3-2-0), posting a serviceable .910 SV%.

Oettinger will start Tuesday vs. Detroit.

Oettinger surprisingly served as the backup for both games of a back-to-back set over the weekend after coming down with an illness, but will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings. Oettinger has won six of eight contests against the Red Wings in his young career while posting a 2.59 GAA and .896 SV%. The Stars, who have collected a point in two straight (1-0-1), are -135 road favourites against a Red Wings club that has won four of their last five.

Oettinger will start Thursday in Philadelphia.

Oettinger will look for his third straight win when he tends the twine on Thursday against the Philadelphia Flyers. After a porous first start in his return from a multi-week absence due to a lower-body injury, allowing four goals on 36 shots (.889 SV%) in a 6-3 loss to the Nashville Predators, Oettinger has rebounded nicely, saving 51 of 53 shots faced (.962 SV%) over his last two games (2-0-0). The Stars are -129 road favourites against a Flyers club riding a four-game winning streak.

Oettinger will start against the Kings on Tuesday.

Oettinger struggled in his first game back from a four-week absence with a lower-body injury, allowing four goals on 36 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Nashville Predators, but was much better the following night, entering the game in relief of an injured Scott Wedgewood, saving 20 of 21 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. The Stars are -129 home favourites against a Los Angeles Kings team that ended an eight-game losing streak last night with a 5-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes and historically fared well against Oettinger, getting the better end of the score in two of three contests.

Oettinger will start against the Predators on Friday.

Oettinger will make his first appearance in goal for the Stars since suffering a lower-body injury on December 15th. Dallas' number-one netminder was in the midst of a cold streak prior to the injury, losing three of his previous four starts and posting an .838 SV% over that stretch. He owns an 11-7-2 record on the season along with a .901 SV% and a 2.93 GAA. He draws a favourable matchup in his first game back with the Stars being -175 on the moneyline.

Jake Oettinger (lower body) is now considered day-to-day after returning to Stars' optional practice Wednesday.

Oettinger has not played since exiting a contest against the Ottawa Senators on December 15th in the first period with an upper-body injury. Scott Wedgewood has taken the reigns in the Stars' crease during Oettinger's eight-game absence, helping the team go 5-2-1 in that stretch. With Oettinger's status being upgraded from week-to-week to day-to-day, his return is on the horizon, and he should return to seeing the bulk of action between the pipes for the Stars.

Jake Oettinger (lower body) is expected be out week-to-week.

The Stars coaching staff indicated that the team received positive results on Oettinger's evaluation, avoiding the worst outcome, but will still be without their starting goaltender on a week-to-week basis. Oettinger struggled before his injury, posting a 1-3-0 record and an ugly .823 SV% in his last five games. The Stars recalled Matt Murray from the Texas Stars (AHL), who will predominantly serve as the backup to Scott Wedgewood while Oettinger is out of the lineup.

Oettinger left the first period of Friday's game against the Senators with a lower-body injury and will not return.

Oettinger played only eight minutes before being lifted due to the injury. Scott Wedgewood will tend the twine for the Stars in his absence. We can expect to receive some sort of update from the Stars' on Oettinger's status following the completion of Friday's game.

Oettinger has allowed three or more goals in his last four games (1-3-0) and will start for the third consecutive game on Friday. After a sensational start to the season, posting a .938 SV% in his first seven games (5-1-1), Oettinger has seen a rapid decline in his play, posting an ugly .884 SV% in his 13 games since (6-1-1). Despite his struggles, the Stars have remained near the top of the Central Division standings and are -197 home favourites against an Ottawa Senators team that played last night and lost 4-2 in St. Louis.

Jake Oettinger will start Monday vs. Detroit.

Oettinger will start on Monday against the Detroit Red Wings after allowing six goals on 27 shots (.778 SV%) in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. After a tremendous start, Oettinger's season totals have fallen rapidly, posting a 2.84 GAA and .905 SV%, triggered by three consecutive losses where he has allowed four or more goals in each game, sporting an ugly .815 SV%. The Stars have been outscored 19-10 over their last four games (1-3-0) but are still sizeable -209 home favourites against a Red Wings team suffering a variety of injuries, most notably Dylan Larkin (upper-body) and J.T. Compher (soreness).
