Jalen Chatfield is considered day-to-day and will not play Thursday due to an undisclosed injury.

Chatfield "tweaked something with his groin" that head coach Rod Brind'Amour does not believe to be serious but he will miss Thursday's game as he is considered day-to-day for the time being. The 26-year-old has five goals, seven assists, 78 SOG, 33 PIMs and a +20 plus/minus through 62 games this season prior to his injury.

Chatfield is expected to make his NHL debut on Wednesday.

Chatfield is expected to replace Olli Juolevi on the Canucks blueline on Wednesday. The 24-year-old defenseman, who had four assists in 48 AHL games a season ago, should help boost the Canucks penalty kill and is expected to skate on the second pair with Alex Edler.
