After spending the first four and a half years of his career in the Blackhawks organization, Morin has bounced around quite a bit. After Chicago he has gone from Columbus to Toronto to San Jose and now lands in Tampa Bay on a one-year deal. In 2015-16 he played for Rockford, Toronto and San Jose (AHL), totalling 16 goals and 26 assists (42 points) in 59 games.
Morin, 24th, is a pending restricted free agent at the end of the season, who has not appeared in an NHL games this season. He has split his season between Rockford and Toronto (AHL), collecting 11 goals and 17 assists (28 points) in 41 games.
Morin, 24, was a second round pick (45th overall) in 2009 and has 22 points (9G / 13A) in 28 games with Rockford this season. He has played 82 career NHL games with the Blackhawks and Blue Jackets, registering 22 points (10G / 12A). He will report to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).
Morin was hospitalized with a heart issue during Tuesday’s game vs. Washington. He was rushed by ambulance during the second period and was held overnight for further testing. He was released from hospital, but has been moved to IR and is out indefinitely.
Morin suffered the injury in the Blue Jackets win over the Capitals last night. There is no exact timeline for Morin, but he is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks.
With Boone Jenner out with a stress fracture in his back, Morin will move up to play the wing on the top-line with Ryan Johansen and Nick Foligno. Morin should be amped up to play tonight with the Blackhawks in town, just a week after they traded him. He has one assist, a plus-1 rating and five shots in a two games with Columbus.
Morin will skate on the Blue Jackets third line with Nick Foligno and Brian Gibbons. With Morin entering the lineup, Kerby Rychel will come out of the lineup.
Morin, 23, grew frustrated with the Blackhawks while he was serving as a healthy scratch. He asked for them to play him or trade them and they elected to move him to Columbus. He had no points in 15 games with the Blackhawks and one goal in three games with Rockford (AHL) this season. He has 16 points (8G / 8A) in 54 career NHL games. Morin will report to the Blue Jackets.
Morin, who has been a healthy scratch for the last eight games, has recently voiced his displeasure with his lack of playing time. He told the Hawks to either play him or trade him and right now it looks like they will do neither as he heads back to the AHL.
Morin had 11 points (5G / 6A) in 24 games with the Blackhawks this season. While with Rockford (AHL) he scored 24 goals and 23 assists (47 points) in 47 games. The 23-year-old has a strong chance of making the Hawks out of of training camp in 2014-15.
Morin skated in 15 games with the Blackhawks recording one goal and four assists and a plus-2 rating. He has been reassigned with Bryan Bickell being activated from IR. He returns to Rockford where he has six goals and 12 points in 13 games.

After acquiring Kris Versteeg from Florida, the Hawks reassigned Morin to the AHL. He had been a healthy scratch in the three games prior to Thursday's contest. He had two assists in six games.
