Farabee is three and a half months removed from disk replacement surgery and will be in the opening night lineup vs. New Jersey. Farabee, who had 34 points (17G / 17A) in 63 games last season, will skate on the third line with Noah Cates and Owen Tippett.

He has picked up 20 points (7G / 13A) in 49 games with Philadelphia this season.
Farabee has been summoned from the AHL because Sean Couturier is questionable to play Sunday afternoon due to illness. If Couturier can’t play, Farabee will draw into the lineup.
The Flyers added two forwards at the deadline (Derek Grant and Nate Thompson) so they'll send Farabee back to the AHL "for now." GM Chuck Fletcher said that he wants "to make sure we’re giving Joel all the ability to be the player he can become. He’s only 19. He’s been a big part of our team but he’s going to be an even bigger part of our future…I have no doubt he’ll be back with us and help us.” This move also keeps Farabee available for the AHL playoffs.
Frost appeared in the last two games, failing to record a point in 13:00 ATOI but will be scratched tonight with Joel Farabee returning from an illness. If he's going to sit, Frost will likely be sent back to Lehigh Valley (AHL).
