Larsson (lower-body) will not play on Friday.

Larson returned to the lineup on Tuesday after a seven-game absence but was hurt again. Larsson is considered day-to-day for now but is undergoing further evaluation to determine the extent of his injury. Alex Galchenyuk will replace him in the lineup.

Larsson has taken on a fairly large role in Arizona this season but will come out of the lineup Friday in San Jose. With Larsson out, Michael Chaput is expected to draw into the lineup but Lane Pederson is expected to move up the lineup to replace him.

Larsson missed Tuesday's blowout loss to the Avalanche but will play tonight vs. the Red Wings. Larsson, who has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 46 games this season, is expected to centre the fourth line with Zemgus Girgensons and J-S Dea on his wings.

Larsson was forced to leave Thursday's game in Philadelphia in the second period and did not return. The Sabres did not have much of an update on Larsson on Friday but head coach Ralph Krueger said that he will miss the final two games before the Christmas break.

Larsson is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, so Rasmus Asplund was called up from Rochester and will replace him in the lineup vs. Ottawa. The Sabres have a back-to-back this weekend, so there’s a good chance that Larsson isn’t available tomorrow either.

Larsson was scratched for the last two games but will replace Tage Thompson in the Sabres’ bottom-6 on Thursday. Larsson, who has a career-high of just 17 points, has just eight points (4G / 4A) in 44 games this season.
