Gibson was pulled after allowing four goals on 44 shots in the Ducks 5-3 loss to the Stars on Saturday. Gibson has been extremely busy to start the season, facing an average of 36.8 shots/60 in his first five starts. He has been equal to the task however, posting a polished 2.07 GAA and .944 SV% to go along with a 3-1-1 record.

Gibson allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Ducks overtime loss to the Coyotes on Wednesday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Gibson, who has an impressive 1.44 GAA, .955 SV% and one shutout to start the 2018-19 season. The 25-year-old did not face Dallas last season, but they come in averaging 4.00 goals for per game in their first three games.

Gibson stopped all 41 shots that he faced in the Ducks shutout win over the Coyotes on Saturday. It was a terrible game for the Ducks, but Gibson absolutely stole two points for the road team. Gibson has been stellar to start the year, stopping 72 of 74 shots (.973 SV%) and is a must-start tonight vs. the Red Wings.

Gibson has been the best goalie in the NHL over the last three years, posting the league’s best SV% (.924) and GAA (2.26) while ranking third for third in shutouts (14). The Ducks have a stout bluleine that makes things easy on Gibson and he could be the best goalie in fantasy this season if he is able to start 60-plus games again.

Gibson missed the last three games of the regular season, but practiced for the first time in more than a week on Monday. Gibson’s availability will be key to the Ducks’ first-round success, but Ryan Miller showed he is capable of holding things down if Gibson isn’t 100 percent for Game 1.
