Gibson allowed four goals on 28 shots in the Ducks loss in Nashville last Thursday. Ryan Miller started on Friday, so Gibson will draw back between the pipes tonight vs. the Blues. The 24-year-old has gone 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .957 SV% in his first two starts against St. Louis this season.

Gibson stopped all 36 shots that he faced in the Ducks shutout win over the Capitals on Tuesday. Gibson has won six in a row while allowing just nine goals on 207 shots (.957 SV%). Gibson has been excellent as of late, but draws a tough matchup in Nashville. In his first start vs. the Predators, Gibson allowed four goals on 29 shots in a 5-2 loss in early-November.

Gibson allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Ducks win over the Blackhawks on Sunday. Gibson has won five in a row while allowing just nine goals on 171 shots (.947 SV%). Tonight he will face the Capitals for the second time this season—he allowed three goals on 27 shots in a 3-2 OT loss in Washington in mid-December.

Gibson ended up missing the next three games with a lower-body injury but will start tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. Before getting hurt, Gibson stopped 91 of the last 95 shots (.958 SV%) that he faced. He is 12-9-3 with a 2.66 GAA and .923 SV% on home ice this season.

Coach Randy Carlyle provided no further update but added that Gibson will likely be put on injured reserve. The Ducks are scheduled for four days off after their game against Edmonton on Sunday, which should hopefully stop Gibson from missing too much time.

Gibson failed to pick up the win in Detroit on Tuesday despite facing just 16 shots. He’s played relatively well in the three games he’s played since returning from a lower-body injury, posting a .931 SV%. He has a good chance of getting back in the win column tonight in Chicago.

Gibson allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Ducks shootout loss to the Sharks on Sunday. It was a tough loss for Gibson, who has stopped 67 of 71 shots (.944 SV%) since returning to the Ducks’ crease over the weekend. He has a good matchup in Detroit tonight and makes for a solid start despite decent road numbers—2.49 GAA and .923 SV% in 16 games.

Gibson went on to miss the last four games, but is expected to start tonight vs. the Oilers. Gibson will be returning against an Oilers team that is still trying to keep their season alive—he stopped 33 of 34 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss to Edmonton on January 4th.
