He's managed to be an effective offensive contributor at the NHL level and has been rewarded with a two-year $1.575 million contract extension. The 30-year-old has 15 points (4G / 11A) in 37 games with the Rangers this season.
Brodzinski and Adam Edstrom have both been recalled in moves corresponding to Connor Mackey being reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL. The 30-year-old Brodzinnski has been on fire with Hartford this season, scoring 25 points (11G / 14A) in 16 games.
Brodzinski was off to an electric start with the Hartford Wolf Pack at the AHL level, recording 11 points (6G / 5A) in seven games, and has now been recalled by the Rangers. Brodzinski has played 39 games across the previous two seasons with the Rangers, tallying four points (2G / 2A).
Brodzinski had 12 goals 18 assists, 33 PIMs and a +2 plus/minus through 34 games played with Hartford (AHL) this season and has been recalled Tuesday to New York. The 29-year-old returns to the Rangers, where he had a goal and an assist across 16 games earlier this season in his previous NHL stint.
Brodzinski has a goal and an assist with 18 SOG and a +4 plus/minus through 11 games but will miss Thursday's contest due to the birth of his child. Gustav Rydahl will make his NHL debut in place of Brodzinski.

Brodzinski had a strong AHL season in 2020, finishing fifth on the San Jose Barracuda with 30 points (14G / 16A) in 44 games. The former fifth-round pick has had a tough time cracking the NHL and that won't change after signing with a deep Rangers team.
