Dylan Guenther (lower body) will be out of the lineup indefinitely, resulting in Utah HC recalled Doan from the Tuscon Roadrunners (AHL). The 22-year-old Doan played nine games with Utah earlier this season, scoring two points (1G / 1A), but has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, scoring 21 points (8G / 13A) in 25 games with Tuscon.

Doan is averaging 13:05 time-on-ice and has only two points (1G / 1A) in nine games this season after a considerably more productive trial run last season when he scored nine points (5G / 4A) in 11 games. After making him a healthy scratch on Monday, Utah is opting to send him down to Tucson where he can continue to play and further his development.

Liam O'Brien will draw into Utah's lineup on Monday in favor of Doan, who will be a healthy scratch for the first time this season. Doan was the 37th overall pick of the Coyotes in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and will make his much-anticipated NHL debut on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 22-year-old Doan has 46 points (26G / 20A) in 62 games with the Tuscon Roadrunners (AHL) this season. He is the son of Coyotes legend, Shane Doan, who played with the Coyotes franchise for his entire 21-year career.
