Khaira has missed the last two games after getting knocked out in a fight on Monday. However, he was back on the ice for Monday's morning skate and is expected to centre the fourth line tonight vs. the Jets.
Khaira was knocked out in a fight with Brett Ritchie in Monday's game and was not on the ice for Tuesday's practice, making him highly questionable to play Wednesday. Either Dominik Kahun or Patrick Russell will draw into the lineup to replace Khaira if he can't play.
Khaira sat as a healthy scratch for the last five games but will replace Devin Shore in the lineup on Tuesday. It will be Khaira's first game since January 14th and he comes in with three shots, 10 PIMS and a minus-2 rating in two games this year.
After playing in the first two games of the season, Joakim Nygard will replace Khaira Saturday vs. the Canadiens.
Khaira will not play for the seventh time in eight games. The Oilers are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, so there is no reason for Khaira to play if he is not 100 percent.

Khaira has been playing the best hockey of his young career recently, but he will come out of the lineup tonight for the second time in six games. Khaira has two goals and two assists (four points) in his last six games, but will be replaced by Anton Slepyshev tonight.

Khaira, 21, was a third round pick (63rd overall) in 2012. The 6’4”, 215 lbs. forward has seven points (3G / 4A) in 16 games with Bakersfield this season. He could make his NHL debut in place of the injured Nail Yakupov on Friday in Detroit.
