Barron has seven goals, nine assists, six PIMS and is a -3 plus/minus with the Laval Rockets (AHL) before being promoted to the Canadiens. The 21-year-old played in seven NHL games prior to this season, with a goal and an assist.
Barron (ankle) will miss the rest of the season.
Barron suffered an ankle injury vs. the Senators last Tuesday and will miss the rest of the season. His injury does not require surgery but it will cost him the final few weeks of the year. Barron had one goal and one assist in five games since joining the Canadiens at the trade deadline.
Barron will be a healthy scratch on Thursday.
The Canadiens have acquired Justin Barron and a 2024 second-round pick from the Avalanche for Artturi Lehkonen.
