Daugavins should return to the lineup as soon as he's recovered from dental surgery. The Riga native certainly impressed during his short stint in the bigs.

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Kaspars Daugavins from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Daugavins, 23, has recorded four goals and two assists for six points in seven games with the B-Sens this season. He spent the entire 2010-11 campaign with Binghamton, scoring 19 goals and adding 35 assists while recording 34 penalty minutes. Daugavins played in played in each of the B-Sens’ 23 post-season contests, finishing in a tie for sixth in team post-season scoring with 20 points, including 10 goals, while helping Binghamton capture its first Calder Cup.
