The Kings are already locked into the second spot in the Pacific division, so Burroughs will slot in along with Caleb Jones, Trevor Lewis, and Akil Thomas for Tuesday's game in Seattle. Mikey Anderson, Drew Doughty, Anze Kopitar, and Quinton Byfield will all get the night off.

Burroughs will slot back into the lineup as both Drew Doughty (maintenance) and Joel Edmundson (upper-body) are unavailable on Monday. Burroughs will skate with Jacob Moverare on the Kings third pair.

With Brandt Clarke returning to Los Angeles' lineup on Wednesday, Kyle Burroughs will be a healthy scratch vs. St. Louis. The 29-year-old defender has struggled to produce offensively in 2024-25, with two assists and five SOG in 29 games played.

Burroughs will fill in for Drew Doughty, who was a late scratch due to a lower-body injury. Burroughs has zero goals and two assists in 27 games this season.

Burroughs has been used sparingly this season, often rostered as a seventh defenseman. The 29-year-old is averaging only 5:44 time-on-ice in his last 12 games, scoring one point (0G / 1A) in the process.

Burroughs will get the chance to make his first appearance since November 7th as the Kings are opting to dress seven defencemen on Wednesday. Burroughs has no goals and one assist in eight games with the Kings this season.

Burroughs has only played one of the last eight games for the Kings but will re-enter the lineup on Monday against the Nashville Predators. The 29-year-old Burroughs is averaging 14:29 time-on-ice and has one point (0G / 1A), four blocks, and 10 hits in five games this season.

Andreas Englund will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Burroughs to return to the lineup after a three-game absence. The 29-year-old Burroughs has one point (0G / 1A), two blocks, and eight hits in four games this season.

Burroughs will sit for the first time this season as the Kings opt to get some fresh legs into the lineup on the tail-end of their back-to-back. Jordan Spence will draw back into the lineup in his place.

Burroughs went from a sixth/seventh defenseman with the Canucks in 2023 to a top-4 option with the Sharks. He averaged 19:09 TOI/gm and picked up eight points (2G / 6A) while finishing with the fifth-worst plus/minus (-42) in the NHL. With the Kings, he'll likely go back to being a sixth/seventh defenseman.

Burroughs has not played the last two games but is likely to re-enter the lineup in favour of Calen Addison on Saturday. In his last game, Burroughs recorded one assist, one shot, and three hits in 16:05 time-on-ice.
