Turris was added to the COVID-19 reserve list and is not expected to play Wednesday.

2021 has been a difficult season for Turris and it just got a little tougher, as he was added to the COVID-19 reserve list and will most likely not be available for Wednesday's game vs. the Senators. With Turris missing from Tuesday's practice, Patrick Russell skated on the third line.

Turris will be scratched Friday in Calgary.

Turris has struggled in his first season with the Oilers, scoring just one goal with two assists in 18 games. In the two most recent games, he played under eight minutes and will come right out of the lineup on Friday. James Neal, who recently cleared waivers, will replace him.

The Oilers have signed Kyle Turris to a two-year deal worth $3.3 million ($1.65M AAV).

Turris had the final four years of his $6.0M AAV deal bought-out on Wednesday and signs a team-friendly deal to join the Oilers as their third line centre. Turris is an effective two-way centre that can provide some offence and is a nice complementary piece to Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. A change of scenery will likely do Turris well and let's not forget that he averaged 23 goals and 33 assists (56 points) per 82 games from 2014-to-2018 while he was with the Senators.s

The Predators have placed Kyle Turris on unconditional waivers for the purpose of a buyout.

Turris had four years remaining at $6.0M AAV, so this is one of the largest buyouts in NHL history. The buyout will cost the Predators $2.0M against the cap for the next eight years, so it's actually saving them $4.0M AAV for the next four seasons. The Predators now have ≈$17.6M in cap space with newly acquired RFA Luke Kunin still to be signed.

The Predators have placed Kyle Turris (undisclosed) on IR.

Turris was forced to leave Frida’s game in St. Louis with an undisclosed injury, believed to have stemmed from a hit by Brayden Schenn. Turris was quickly moved to injured reserve, which usually isn’t a good sign. The Predators forward depth has taken a serious hit in November as Turris now joins fellow top-6 forward Viktor Arvidsson on IR.
