The Islanders have acquired Marc-Andre Cliche from the Avalanche for Taylor Beck.

Cliche, 28, has 19 points (6G / 13A) in 38 games with San Antonio (AHL) this season. Cliche has 14 points (3G / 11A) in 151 career NHL games with the Kings and Avalanche. He is expected to report to Bridgeport (AHL).

Cliche (undisclosed) will be back in the Avalanche lineup on Saturday.

Cliche has missed the last five games with an undisclosed injury, but will be back in the lineup tomorrow vs. the Blues. With Cliche ready to return, the Avs have sent Paul Carey back to Lake Erie (AHL).

Cliche (undisclosed) will miss two weeks.

Cliche suffered an undisclosed injury in the Avalanche’s win over the Stars on Saturday night. He played just 8:28 (10:26 AVG TOI) which suggests he left the game in the third period and did not return. The Avs’ lost a couple players last night, so he will probably need to recall a forward or two.
