Zidlicky, 38, is a veteran right handed defenseman that the Red Wings have been searching for. He should slot in on the Red Wings second pair and will definitely see big minutes on the power-play. He has a great one-timer and should help the Red Wings PP that already ranks first in the NHL.

Zidlicky was scratched on Saturday vs. New York, but will be in the lineup tonight in Columbus. Peter Harrold did not make the trip to Ohio so Zidlicky will draw in for him and pair with Anton Volchenkov. He has three goals and 11 assists in 30 games.

Zidlicky gets a very reliable partner, who should help ease him into the new system. Through 41 games, the offensive defenseman has 14 assists.
