Gaborik has had a tough time with injuries in recent years and 2018 is no different, as he’ll finish the year with two months of rehab following surgery on his back.
Gaborik has actually played well as of late, picking up three goals and two assists in his last five games. Erik Karlsson (personal) will return to the lineup and the Senators will go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen with the veteran winger out.
Gaborik was a healthy scratch for the last two games, but he will draw back in tonight in Dallas. Gaborik has one goal and one assist in seven games since being acquired by the Senators.
Gaborik is expected to sit for the third time in four games as the Kings are expected to go with the same lineup that beat the Coyotes 6-0 on Saturday.
Gaborik was representing Slovakia as a part of Team Europe in the World Cup of Hockey. Gaborik has missed a total of 82 games over the last three seasons and will miss the next eight weeks, which includes six weeks of the regular season.
Gaborik will he’d back to Los Angeles which means he won’t be in the lineup on Sunday. The Kings don’t plan on recalling anyone from Ontario (AHL) at this time, which means that Kyle Clifford will be back in the lineup tomorrow.
Gaborik was held out of Monday’s game because he was under the weather, but he is expected to play tonight. He skated this morning and should be able to give it go vs. the Oilers.
Gaborik did not skate this morning because he was "a touch under the weather" and will not play tonight. He is considered day-to-day.
Gaborik was a full participant in Kings practice on Sunday and could be back tomorrow vs. the Sabres. He has missed the last there games with an upper-body injury, but should be back on a line with Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams on Tuesday. He has eight points (4G / 4A) in 15 games this season.
Gaborik continues to skate with the Kings and he said that he should be back soon, but doesn’t know if he will travel to Arizona for Thursday’s game. Seems like he will be out tomorrow but should be back in the lineup come Saturday, back at home vs. the Flyers.
Gaborik was on the ice for the Kings morning skate, but did not participate in line rushes and stayed on as an extra. It looks like he will miss his second straight game but his availability this morning is a good sign for Thursday vs. Arizona.
Gaborik’s injury is not believed to be serious, but missing today’s practice makes him questionable for Tuesday’s game vs. Boston. Monitor his status during tomorrow’s game day skate.
There is not much information about the nature or the severity of Gaborik’s injury. The Kings don’t play again until Tuesday, so expect a more detailed injury report in the coming days and monitor his status leading up to Tuesday’s game vs. the Bruins.
Gaborik said on Saturday that he was "very close" to returning, looks like he was not kidding and he will be back today. Gabo missed the last eight games with an undisclosed injury, but look for him to skate on the top-line today vs. the Canes. He had one assist in three contests before being hurt.
Gaborik has been out since October 12th but this is a positive sign in his recovery from his undisclosed injury. He will need to get into a few practices before he returns to the Kings' lineup.
