Laferriere was a sixth-round draft pick in 2018 and finished fifth on Cape Breton (QMJHL) with 48 points (20G / 28A) despite playing just 40 of the 63 games. The 19-year-old has one more year of junior eligibility but will report to San Antonio (AHL) if he turns pro.
