Beleskey was sent down earlier in the week because the Rangers had five days off but was always expected to return to the big club. Don’t expect much from the 30-year-old who has just 10 points (3G / 7A) in 15 AHL contests this season.
The Rangers don’t play until Saturday so they send Beleskey back to Hartford to stop his NHL service clock, so he doesn’t have to pass through waivers in the future. The 30-year-old has nine points (3G / 6A) in 14 games with the Wolf Pack this season.
Beleskey has an ugly contract, with two years remaining at a $3.8M AAV cap-hit. The Bruins will retain 50% of that contact but it remains to be seen if he will join the Rangers or the Wolf Pack. He had no points in 14 games with the Bruins before being placed on waivers and sent to Providence (AHL) were he had just four goals and two assists (six points) in 21 games.

Beleskey will not be in the lineup on Wednesday vs. the Flyers because of an upper-body injury. This means that Brett Connolly, who served as healthy scratch on Saturday, will get back into the lineup. Beleskey is day-to-day.
