Matt D'Agostini News
Early indication is that it’s not too serious and he’s dealing with a mild headache. When watching it live it looked like it was his shoulder more than his head but we will wait to hear more from the team.

Early reports indicate D'Agostini could only miss a short amount of playing time. The former Hab scored nine goals and 18 points through 52 games.

Good news for the injured D'Agostini. The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native has six goals and 11 points on the season while seeing healthy power play time. If he can't play, look for rookie Evgeny Grachev to draw back in. Expect a further update prior to Thursday's game.

Matt D'Agostini received better news after skating on his own Tuesday morning. D'Agostini left Saturday's win in the third period after being on the receiving end of a nasty hit from San Jose forward Jamie McGinn. He passed all of the testing that comes with suspected head injuries and D'Agostini will practice with the team Wednesday

D'Agostini did not practice and is still likely to miss some playing time despite his quick recovery. The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native has six goals and 11 points on the season while seeing healthy power play time. Expect a further update prior to Thursday's game.

Matt D'Agostini remained on a line with T.J. Oshie and Patrik Berglund today in practice, but D'Agostini was on the left wing, with Oshie on the right wing. They had been playing the opposite wings recently.

D'Agostini should further benefit from a line change and continue his scoring touch. Through the team's first eight games, he scored four goals.

Playing in all 82 games, D'Agostini had 21 goals and 25 assists and finished a plus-8. A speedy 24-year-old winger with a wicked shot, he became more than anticipated when the Blues bartered prospect Aaron Palushaj in exchange. D'Agostini's previous high-water mark had been 12 goals and nine assists with Montreal in 2008-09.

The Blues made a thrifty move when they traded for D'Agostini -- a versatile forward capable of playing all three forward positions and chipping in a few goals. If he continues to play on the top two lines and earns PP minutes, expect a repeat of last season's numbers. However, the additions of Jamie Langenbrunner and Jason Arnott will push him out of that role if he falters.

Blues forward Matt D'Agostini practiced today for the first time since being pulled from last Thursday's lineup with a lower-body injury.

Good news for the sniping D'Agostini. Last year the former Montreal Canadien broke out by scoring 21 goals. If you are in the need for a decent depth winger, the 24-year-old should be able to fill a spot and score at or above replacement level.
