Hendricks is a quality depth/fourth-line addition for the Jets, who he played 65 games with last season. Hendricks only played in five of the Jets’ 17 playoff games a year ago, so don’t expect him to be a big factor for them this time around.
Hendricks left Tuesday’s game against the Flyers with an upper-body injury and likely won’t play on Friday. With both Hendricks and Victor Rask listed as day-to-day, Brad Hunt may dress as a forward tomorrow.
Hendricks and J.T. Brown have rotated on the Wild’s fourth line and tonight is Hendricks’ turn to play. He has just one assist in 17 games while averaging just 9:41 TOI/gm.
Hendricks has been in the lineup for three of the last four games but is expected to be replaced by J.T. Brown on Monday.
Hendricks left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and head coach Bruce Boudreau expects the veteran centre to miss two to three weeks. Matt Read has been called from the AHL to fill in for Hendricks.
Hendricks lasted just a couple of shifts before losing Saturday’s game vs. the Avalanche with an upper-body injury. Hendricks will miss at least Tuesday’s game but could be ready for Friday’s game.
Hendricks has missed the first seven games of the season, but it looks like he will make his Jets debut on Thursday. In 42 games with the Oilers last year, Hendricks had just four goals and three assists (seven points).

Hendricks, 35, suffered a lower-body injury in the Oilers’ preseason game on Tuesday and will miss “weeks” according to head coach Todd McLellan. His injury might give a younger player like Anton Slepyshev and Tyler Pitlick a chance to make the club to start the regular season.
