Hendricks has not skated since Monday. He played 4:22 in a loss to the Panthers that night but not at all in the third period. The team is calling him day-to-day with a lower-body injury, but it was revealed that the forward's issue was with his knee.

Hendricks may not play after his wife gave birth to twins. If he can't play look for Mathieu Perreault to draw into the lineup.
“I think it’s a natural fit,” Boudreau said. “I don’t think it’s a stretch to think that those two might play together.”
Hendricks tied a career-high of nine goals last season with the Caps, acting as a sparkplug throughout the season. His 110 PIM forced him into the fantasy equation but his intangibles on the ice really define him.

As for the rest of the lineup, it appears as though Matt Hendricks will be scratched again. Hendricks remained out on the ice with the other scratches and Hershey callups long after the rest of the team headed to the dressing room.
