Comtois recently returned from a 16-game absence due to a hand injury and is back on the shelf after landing in COVID-19 protocol on Sunday. Sam Steel joined Comtois as the only two Ducks currently in protocol.

Comtois has been out since November 11th with a broken hand but the Ducks said he is "super close to returning." His return to the lineup could come as soon as Friday vs. the Coyotes. It's unclear who Comtois will replace but there's a good chance he'll be with Ryan Getzlaf and Troy Terry.
Comtois underwent surgery on his right hand and is expected to miss six weeks.
Comtois had a small bone removed from his right hand and is expected to be sidelined until early-January. With Comtois out, expect Sonny Milano to continue to skate in the Ducks' top-6.

Comtois had seven points (2G / 5A) in 10 games with the Ducks before heading to the AHL for a conditioning stint. The 19-year-old had one assist in four games with San Diego, but heads back to the QMJHL where ehe had 85 points (44G / 41A) in 54 games with Victoriaville last year.
