Nick Grossmann News
The Flames have signed Nick Grossmann to a one-year deal worth $575K.

Grossmann was with the Flames on a professional tryout and made the team as a depth defenseman. Grossmann spent last season with the Coyotes where he had seven points (3G / 4A) in 58 games. He will not have any fantasy relevance in 2016-17.

Grossmann (lower-body) is expected to return to the Coyotes lineup on Wednesday.

Grossmann has missed the last seven games with a lower-body injury, but skated among the regulars in Tuesday’s practice which suggests that he will play on Wednesday vs. the Ducks. Grossmann has just two goals and one assists in 13 games this season.

Grossmann (lower-body) will also miss game 6.

Grossmann missed game 5 this afternoon after suffering a lower-body injury in game 4. He awkwardly, feet first into the boards in game 4 and will hold him out of the lineup on Tuesday. Hal Gill played on Sunday, but had a tough afternoon, there is no word if he will play game 6.

Nick Grossmann, arguably the Flyers' top defenseman, probably will miss the remainder of the regular season because of concussion issues, general manager Paul Holmgren said after Wednesday's optional practice in Voorhees.

Grossmann was injured in a collision with a teammate at a March 22 practice. He has missed nine games, during which the Flyers have gone 4-3-2. "He has vestibular issues," Holmgren said, which means that Grossmann is having problems with his balance.
