Lundkvist has been a healthy scratch for the Stars' previous four games but will draw back into the lineup Friday as he replaces Joel Hanley on Dallas's back end. The 22-year-old who was acquired for a 1st round pick in the offseason, has four goals, 10 assists, 69 SOG, 26 PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 43 games so far this season.

Lundkvist has been a healthy scratch for Dallas' previous three games but will draw back into the lineup Tuesday as they take on Toronto. The 22-year-old has had an up-and-down season with a goal, four assists, and 41 SOG through 22 games while averaging only 17:29 TOI.

The Stars acquired Nils Lundkvist from the Rangers for a 2023 conditional first-round pick and a 2025 conditional fourth-round pick.

Lundkvist was selected No.28 overall in the 2018 NHL draft and registered four points (1G / 3A) in 25 NHL games with the Rangers last season. He spent most of the season in the AHL, posting 15 points (3G / 12A) in 34 games. Lundkvist will battle with Thomas Harley and Colin Miller for playing time in Dallas and could be a future D-partner of Miro Heiskanen.
