Lundkvist has gone pointless with a minus-4 rating in his last five games. Joel Hanley is expected to draw into the lineup to replace Lundkvist.

Lundkvist was selected No.28 overall in the 2018 NHL draft and registered four points (1G / 3A) in 25 NHL games with the Rangers last season. He spent most of the season in the AHL, posting 15 points (3G / 12A) in 34 games. Lundkvist will battle with Thomas Harley and Colin Miller for playing time in Dallas and could be a future D-partner of Miro Heiskanen.
